Vive la France !
Celebrating France's freedom from the monarchy (and discreetly disregarding the Napoleons that followed), I brought in Bastille Day yesterday with a record 18 people in my apartment, and I think it's safe to say they all enjoyed the view.
For those of you who've followed my plight of finding friends as a foreigner in a big city, you'll understand what an accomplishment it was to have 18 friends all free at once, but that's only half of it: I actually had to restrict my invite list. I'm finally making some sort of a social fabric for myself here... yes, just in time to be thinking about moving away, I know, but I've still got at least a year to go in the city of lights.
