For those of you who know me, tea lover only begins to describe my interest in all things looseleaf. As such, you can only imagine my excitement when the thé maison, house tea, I ordered to celebrate my friends' completion of their Master's theses arrived: in my cup was a collection of rosebuds, dried berries, various nuts, and green leaves which could best be described as a sort of potpourri. The resulting brew evolved from something lightly floral to a stronger fruity flavor as we sipped, according the the server's instructions, while holding the lids of our teacups in place to keep from drinking the tea mix. If you'd like a distinctly unusual cup of tea, I'd strongly recommend swinging by this restaurant around the corner from the Pantheon. By my friends' reports, the food (which I wasn't able to stay to sample) also makes this restaurant worth a visit.
