A delicious birthday à la française

For my birthday, Valentin took me to a fancy French-Japanese fusion restaurant called Qui Plume La Lune (Who Plucks the Moon) in the 11th near the Bastille. As per the French norm, serving sizes were smaller than what you'd see in the US.
Serving sizes may have been small, but the food was (both aesthetically and gustatorially) remarkable.
The epitome of fusion cuisine: foie gras sushi
We ordered a dessert which was basically fancy cotton candy with rosemary and a small fruit preserve hidden underneath.

And no Saturday afternoon stroll in Paris is complete without passing a few attractive storefront displays.
We ended the day by the Seine but opted not to take a boat ride along it as the weather was quite chilly.
And no birthday is complete without a cake from a French boulangerie... and some impossible relighting candles.
