Exceptionally, this year, we had a proper Thanksgiving feast on Thanksgiving day itself! And even more exceptionally, I didn't even have to plan it.

| Thanksgiving Round 1 |

There was a full turkey, two kinds of mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese (apparently Southerners eat this at Thanksgiving?), and I made my sweet potato casserole. We had a couple gorgeous, fruit-covered home-made cheesecakes, pumpkin flavored scones, and even a pumpkin pie. We introduced Czech, Polish, Italian, and Spanish expats to their first Thanksgiving while sharing it with a Canadian, a Filipino, and some Hungarians who already knew the ropes of this holiday. It was a real, proper Thanksgiving (thanks to Akos) and only my first of the season. (Stay tuned.) Hoping you all had a very happy Thanksgiving!
