From the ivory to the iron tower

From the bottom rung of the ladder on the climb up our ivory tower, we don't see many luxury perks as PhD students. Mostly our lot is long hours in front of microscopes and hours of trying to massage data into anything meaningful in the quest for that mythical beast: the high impact publication.

But then again, we do get our occasional moments. This Saturday, the 2011-12 ENP student reps shared one of them when we broke out the restaurant gift certificates we'd been given as thanks for our service for an evening of fine dining atop the Eiffel Tower. The photos speak for themselves. Let's just say we enjoyed our night on the town.
