The flowers are blooming, the lushly tempting grassy fields all roped off lest the natives take advantage and begin to smile too uncharacteristically, and I suddenly find myself struck by a bit of a memory failure on the question of exactly how many hours a PhD student is expected to work in lab. The weather this past week has been glorious, perfectly coinciding with the end of daylight's savings (shifted a week compared to the US) which brings the return of the long European evening-- these days, the Eiffel tower isn't sparkling until 9pm, which means the sun is setting after 8pm!
I thought I'd take a moment to share a visual of my walk to lab this morning. I hope you're all equally profiting from the beginnings of a beautiful spring!
